Nan George

Founder & Owner

Founder and owner of Stone & George Court Reporting, Nan George graduated cum laude with an Associate of Arts degree in Court Reporting from Concordia College in Milwaukee, WI in 1976.  Nan then started her court reporting career in Bowling Green, KY, where she served as Official Reporter for the Warren Circuit Court. During two Circuit Judge's eight-year terms, Nan covered a vast array of civil and criminal jury trials and hearings.

In 1983, Nan ventured out to Dallas, TX to join the firm of United American Reporting Services. She became a senior associate there, covering a variety of litigation services, including real-time and daily copy medical, technical (nuclear power plant) and domestic law depositions. After 10 years in Texas, Nan decided to move back to her southern roots and relocated to Nashville. She joined the Cleeton Davis firm and worked there until 2001, when she started the firm of Stone & George.

Nan has a passion for teaching and mentoring new reporters and serving attorneys while she manages Stone & George.

Cassandra Beiling

Court Reporter

Cassandra Beiling had dreams of being a court reporter dating back to her high school days where she grew up in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. Life’s many twists and turns took her in different directions, but then in an unexpected way, she was finally able to realize her dream 25 years later, graduating from the very last court reporting class to ever be held at TCC of Nashville in 2008.

At almost a year to the date from graduating, she learned she had been recommended by the dean of her court reporting school to an inquiring firm, Stone & George Court Reporting, to firm owner, Nan George, to join her team. The rest is history, and Cassandra has been honored and blessed to be a part of the Stone & George Court Reporting team. With this second lease on her professional life, Cassandra has now taken almost 2,000 jobs, covering all areas of litigation. She has a natural affinity for attention to detail, and no matter what the circumstance, will get the job done, thereby gaining the trust of many.

Cassandra’s biggest cheerleader is her husband of 35 years, Mike, who she has cared for for over 25 years after he suffered a stroke in 1996. So in her spare time, she spends her time with him and her parents, and not to mention enjoying the fruit of her hobby farm consisting of dairy goats, alpacas, chickens & ducks.
